International Design Out Crime Conferences

Welcome to the International Design Out Crime Conference series. These conferences will focus on crime prevention through design. Typical conference themes will include all issues at the interface of crime prevention and design including: CPTED. Design Out Crime, Designing Against Crime, second-generation CPTED, designs for situational crime prevention, designs for socially-based crime prevention, design to reduce offender motivation, bystander apathy, etc. The conferences have a peer reviewed paper track (double blind refereed by at least two external reviewers), a 'Tales from the Field' track (not peer reviewed). This 'Tales from the Field' stream is intended to provide an opportunity for experienced practitioners to present significant lessons learned. In addition, conferences may also include poster and workshop tracks. All written presentations will be published online as open access.
